Tangowahine in 2010 Happy new year!
Lambs are now selling, Gingers piglets test video of mum and midwife! have all gone except for two that will be invited to dinner. About time I found her a new boyfriend!
The land has dried out and we have not had a decent rainfall for over two months. Every day we water the garden to keep the plants looking alive
New Stock has been bought in as the price for us is good and we have grass, others are much drier than we are.
We are spending more time on the water catching fish from our Kayaks and recent guests bought children who had a great time catching eels in the goldfish ponds. Just as well as they can quickly take over a pond and eat every thing.
Our local charecter Ernie at the Kumara Box never fails to astound us so take the time to visit while you are in the area. Earnie has an amazing venue that covers the Kumera industry and other facets of the district.
Sue at the information centre is doing a great job of coordinatng bookings and its great to have someone organising trips for guests
Pauline and I called in to checkout the new owners at the Sahara in Papaparoa so can happily reccomend some good food and hospitality for anyone comming to or from the south. Paparaoa is about 45 min drive from us but just before Matakohe the Kauri Museum which is a must stop place. be warned allow at least an hour or two for young and old alike
To be continued…….
